Professional home organising and decluttering services in Canberra
Struggling with too much stuff in your Canberra home? I offer in-person professional decluttering services with a difference. Instead of rigid systems that don’t last, we’ll use the gentle No-Mess Method, designed for busy lives and overwhelmed brains.
‘Little and often’ decluttering through consistent practice
I truly understand the decluttering struggle, as I’ve been there myself. What works is a neuroaffirming method that’s radically different from conventional advice.
This isn’t about creating ‘perfect’ spaces that quickly slide back into chaos. It’s ‘little and often’ decluttering through consistent practice, so your skills and progress stick.
In-person decluttering help is for you if:
You’re ready to invite someone into your home who will work alongside you with zero judgment and absolute respect for wherever you're at.
You've tried decluttering alone but get overwhelmed or distracted; having someone physically there helps prevent shutdown and keeps you moving.
You're navigating a major transition, such as moving, downsizing, a new baby or bereavement and need in-real-life support through the emotional and physical work.
You're neurodivergent (ADHD, Autism, AuDHD) and ‘body doubling’ with someone present in the room helps you stay focused and motivated.
You learn best by doing and want hands-on coaching in your own home, with an expert by your side to help make choices about your belongings in real time.
You have energy or mobility limitations. (Note: I can’t lift heavy items for you, but I can guide. You're also welcome to have a trusted helper join us as an extra set of hands.)
You live within one hour of Canberra CBD (a travel fee of $100/hr applies for locations 30+ minutes away).
A kinder, calmer approach to decluttering your Canberra home
Typical home organising services aren’t made for people like us: the kind who have a million mental tabs open, see possibility in everything and get overwhelmed easily.
That’s why I only use the No-Mess Decluttering Method created by Dana K White, which means:
We never pull everything out
We never make a bigger mess
We always make progress, even if you only have a few minutes to spare
We can stop at any time, with no piles of stuff to deal with ‘later’
This simple yet super-effective method has worked wonders for me and my family, and I know it can help you, too, with the right support.

Frequently asked questions
-
I'll come to your Canberra home for one hour. We'll spend the first 20 minutes talking through what's happening in your space, what you've tried before and what you're hoping will change.
Then we'll spend the remaining time doing some decluttering together in a space of your choice using the No-Mess Method. You'll experience how it works and make visible progress, even if you decide not to continue with more sessions. It's a genuine, risk-free chance to get a feel for how we could work together, with no pushy sales pitches or any pressure to move forward if it doesn’t feel right for you.
-
Rather than charging per room or quoting for your "whole house”, I’ve found it’s more transparent and realistic to work together on a regular basis in shorter sessions. You can see all my decluttering and organising services plus pricing here.
This approach means we can carefully tailor your service to your unique circumstances, so you’re not paying for a huge package upfront that may not end up suiting your needs. It’s also more cost-effective in the long run, because you're learning sustainable skills to help you keep your home out of chaos for good, not wasting money on a one-time makeover that doesn't last.
-
I totally understand that hiring a professional to help you get organised in your home can feel like a big investment, both financially and emotionally. But if you've been struggling with clutter for a long time, tried multiple approaches without lasting success, and feel stuck or overwhelmed, then working with a Canberra decluttering expert who has the knowledge and compassion to guide you can truly change your life, not just your home.
Hiring me to help you get organised is about so much more than a surface-level glow-up for Instagram that evaporates as soon as the kids empty their Lego all over the floor (again). You’ll gain the skills and confidence to achieve (and maintain!) a more functional home that supports your real life and helps you reclaim time, energy and mental peace.
I really wish this kind of ‘done-with-you’ support had been available to me back when I was first trying to get organised, and that’s why I feel so passionate about delivering this type of support to my clients.
-
We start with a quick check-in about how you're feeling and what you'd like to focus on. Then we work through the No-Mess Method together. I guide you through each step while you make the decisions about your belongings.
We'll tackle one area at a time, never pulling everything out, so you can see visible progress without creating chaos. We always finish with your space looking and feeling better than when we started.
-
I never expect anyone to tidy up or clean before I arrive, but I know that hearing someone say “oh, you don’t have to tidy up for me!” can feel insincere when you haven’t developed a feeling of safety with them yet. So you have my full support to prepare in whatever way will help you feel most at ease before our first session, but please know that you will always be met with genuine compassion and complete acceptance, whatever your starting point.
Many of us who struggle with clutter feel anxious about letting people in the front door, especially before we feel secure enough to show them what things are really like. I promise that as we build trust and lots of wins together, opening the door to me will start to feel like a huge relief instead of something to stress about. I'm here to help, not criticise or judge. The only things you’ll need are a rubbish bag, a box for donations and a willingness to get started.
-
Yes, we’ll be teaming up to tackle your clutter! You'll be actively involved in every session, learning the No-Mess Method and making decisions about your belongings. I'll be physically by your side to offer guidance and keep you moving forward.
One of the biggest benefits of working with me is that you’ll actually be learning and applying these new skills and strategies every time we work together. That's what makes the changes stick long-term!
-
This varies depending on your home, your goals and your capacity. Most clients book my home decluttering services for 3-6 months, with regular sessions each month. Some need less time, others choose to continue longer. We work at your pace; there's no arbitrary deadline or pressure to "finish”.
-
My mentor, Dana K White, defines clutter as ‘anything that consistently gets out of control in your home’. In my experience, this usually happens when we have more stuff than we can handle.
What gets out of control for you might look very different to what used to get out of control at my place (toys were a big one!). Since you’re the expert on all the chaos hotspots in your own home, you’re the best person to decide what counts as clutter for you.
My job isn’t to tell you what to keep and what to remove. My job is to help you identify what’s currently out of control in your home, support you to work through it so that your belongings fit accessibly in the available space, and help you build the skills and routines to finally keep things under control day-to-day with minimal effort.
-
Unfortunately, no. I focus on professional decluttering services and home organising services, which means I don't offer cleaning, waste removal, lifting heavy items or hazard remediation (such as mould or pests). But I’ll happily connect you with wonderful local colleagues who provide these services.
-
My service isn’t suitable for hoarding or domestic squalor. The current evidence shows that these complex situations are best managed with intensive multidisciplinary support that I’m not able to provide as a solo practitioner, and it wouldn’t be ethical to promise otherwise.
But I’d be glad to refer you to local, evidence-based hoarding support services that are well-placed to provide the right kind of help, many of which are free or low-cost.
-
Never! Every decision about what stays and what goes is entirely yours. My role is to guide you through an easy, stress-free decision-making process that works for your brain, not to impose my opinions or pressure you. You're always in control of your belongings and your pace.
-
That's completely normal. Getting decluttering help can bring up big feelings: grief, guilt, overwhelm, relief.
That’s why I love the No-Mess Method, because it’s designed to reduce emotional overwhelm. Instead of using feelings to make decisions, which can be exhausting and paralysing, we use fact-based questions that only have one answer rather than multiple-choice. (You might like to read this blog article by my mentor, Dana K White, which explains how we make decluttering decisions without emotions.)
If you do encounter challenging feelings, you’ll be met with the utmost sensitivity and respect. I have a wealth of experience helping people from all walks of life at their most vulnerable moments, and will hold space for you with compassion. We can take breaks, slow down or shift focus to something easier. Your wellbeing always comes first, and emotions are part of the process, not a problem.
If you find you need extra support for your mental health as you navigate letting go, I would also be happy to connect you with local colleagues who can help.
-
You’ll manage all items leaving your home, so you’ll be in complete control of where each item ends up.
As we work through the No-Mess Method together, you’ll identify what's rubbish (goes in your bin), what's donatable (goes in a box or bag you provide) and what belongs elsewhere in your house (gets taken there immediately). This is your responsibility, but I'll guide the process.
I also provide all of my clients with a personalised guide to Donation Drop-Off Locations in Your Area (including QR codes to map links that make planning your trips a breeze). This eliminates all the guesswork of where to take things, and lifts the mental and logistical burden of figuring out how to get clutter out of your house!
Have questions you don’t see answered here? Feel free to get in touch. I’d be delighted to help.
